Labor Day Weekend
I decided that I need to get out of Panama City for the weekend. So I’m driving up to North Carolina to visit both Jon King and Kathy Coop, who live in High Point and Greensboro respectively. I’ve only seen Jon at weddings since leaving High Point for Florida and hadn’t seen Kathy since we broke up so its long overdue to see them both.
Last night I started running again. The annual “try to lose weight by exercise, but give up after a month because of lack of progress.” I know it takes at least three months to see results, so lets see what I can pull of by Christmas.
I did 4 miles in just under 45 minutes for (according to treadmill) 810 calories.

Mixed feelings: happy that a friend appears to be starting a new relationship; sad that you don’t see them much, especially when they’re the only person you know in an area you just moved to.

I find it odd that iTunes “Party Shuffle” mode has managed to generate a much more intersting selection of songs than the iPod’s “Shuffle Songs” mode.
In other news, Bay County Medical was doing free diabetes screenings via glucose readings today and I do not have diabetes. Yay!
Why won’t my cats let me use the bathroom in peace? Seriously, every time I take a shower or heed the call of nature they’ll rush in like its some kind of big event they don’t want to miss. Weirdos.
One day shy of a month after moving in, I finally have light fixtures (i.e., ceiling fans with light) in all the major rooms of my apartment. Hurray!

The biggest problem with this article is that it completely neglects the issue of whether the audio book is abridged or not until the last paragraphs. To me, there is no difference listening to a book if it is unabridged. It is only abridged audio books that I would never condone.
