No Sleep Day
I was over-reacting a bit in the last update about my writing. While not the best I’ve produced, I was just feeling stressed. It turned out fine (at least, fine enough according to Breno).
My day was certainly crazy hectic, which I’m glad for. Kept me on my sleep-deprived toes. I spent the morning running around with an add/drop slip so I could graduate course-based instead of project-based. Turned in my graduation checklist. Faxed my State of Florida application so I could get the OPS position for my summer work with Dr. Yasinsac. I ran around campus so much I was reeking of B.O. by the end.
Ended that portion of my day with a nice chat with Breno. Found out Kenny Zahn is registered for disseration hours this summer and is a PhD student! Wonder when Kenny was going to mention it.
Had one last grad school lunch with Mark and Kim. I can’t even begin to count the number of those I’ve had over these past two years. We went to the Mellow Mushroom that was built last fall near our house.
Spent the afternoon helping Brad and Sarah Diesburg move all their stuff from their old apartment to their new apartment. It was one of those moments when I realized just how special my group of friends in Tallahassee has become to me. It felt like one of those real close group of friends moments. Did I mention that I just graduated and will probably be moving soon? Figures.
Had the usual Friday night activity—dinner at B. Merrell’s. Had some lame new server, boo. One of the largest groups ever, Fishel and his roommate James showed up, as well as recent group friend Corey. Retreated back to Fincher’s to party and drink some more, went to Bullwinkle’s for a bit, just hanging out and enjoying it all for what it was while I could.
Got to get up tomorrow to drive back to Tennessee to celebrate Anna Claire’s first birthday. Can’t wait to see Turo’s pictures on Facebook tomorrow.
