Cinco de Mayo
Good weekend at Mark’s parent’s lake house(? compound? It’s a 5 acre lakeside property with multiple dwellings). Hung outside all day in the sun drinking Mexican beers and swimming in the lake.
I took a relaxing nap on one of their floating dock thingies and got some nice sun (no sunburn, that’s a first).
My tentative offer from NSWC-PC came in the mail Saturday. The offer was great (higher than I expected) so I now just have to get in all the paperwork for the clearance so that they can finalize it all and give me a start date.
My job title also brought a huge smile to my face: Scientist.
