Back
I had another couple of weeks where I really didn’t want to share my thoughts with anybody so I ended up neglecting the blog. My bad.
Life’s been really busy lately: mentally preparing to move to Panama City (still no start date and still have to find a place to live), working waaaay too many hours on the voting system project at FSU, going to Bristol, Tennessee for Memorial Day weekend, and about a million other things.
The voting system project has had its ups and downs. Basically long stretches of drudgery interspersed with periods of intensely interesting work. We’ve had a guy from John Hopkins University, Ryan Gardner, down since almost the beginning. He’s a fun, smart, and interesting guy to be around with quite a bit of knowledge in the cryptography/security field (wish we had more folks like him here at FSU). We also had Yoshi Kohno from University of Washington (one of the co-authors on the infamous Hopkin’s Diebold paper) here for a weekend. Great experience working and discussing issues.
That being said, I’m really ready to move on to Panama City; I want to live somewhere new, maybe meet somebody new (not friends, I’ve got plenty of those in Tallahassee that I wish I could take with me, but a girl), get into a new daily schedule.
