NSWC-PC: First Impressions
I’ve been at work for three days now. I have not had the opportunity to do much so far because of the administrative overhead of being a new hire: forms, getting my access cards, more forms, getting a PC, and various training and orientations.
The people I’ve met so far have been great; friendly, enthusiastic, and enjoyable to be around. Its a relief because nobody wants to work with a unpleasant place, obviously.
The only unexpected thing to have happened is that I’m currently slated to work in a slightly different place than I originally thought. Too early to tell, but my impression is that it’ll only be for the first couple of months due to a project deadline and the need for personnel on it. Afterwards I’ll be doing IA hopefully. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be happy where ever I end up.
