I finally got cable and Internet access today. Sadly, the “On Demand” portion of the cable isn’t working. My wireless access point also seems to not have survived the move so I had to order a new one. I decided to take advantage of this as an opportunity to get an access point whose firmware can be replaced with Linux. Sadly, not a single access point at Best Buy was compatible so I’ve had to order one from Amazon.com. So until Tuesday night I’m tethered to the cable modem by a too short Cat5 cable.
