Shopping Barbie

I feel like Shopping Barbie. I was in dire need of some household goods (namely cat food and cat litter) and I also wanted some new work shoes. So I headed to the Panana City mall after work. I ended up buying way more stuff than I originally meant to.

While walking through JCPenney to the main mall I saw that they were selling St. John’s Bay short-sleeve shirts (the kind you would wear to work) for $12 from the original $30. Who can say no to that? I picked up 6 of them and a couple of pairs of Dockers’ khakis. Then I found some work shoes (Skeecher’s that look like Diesel rip-offs). On the way back to the car I wandered into Linen ‘N Things and bought new silverware (the ones I currently have I bought from Walmart for $9 my senior year at High Point and are in poor shape) and a lamp for my nightstand. I also bought a crapload of kitten food at Petsmart.

Right now I’m trying to install a light fixture onto the ceiling fan in my living room. I bought the kit and two more ceiling fans at Home Depot last night. The kit for the existing ceiling fan (which, by the way, I don’t understand why it didn’t have lights in it to begin with) isn’t that complicated, but I can’t figure out to get these little plastic shield things off the wires on the fixture so I can connect them to the wires on the fan. Should have been a ten minute job, but I’ve spent almost an hour trying to figure it out, including searching on the web. Blarg.
