A few hours later…

I finally managed to get the light fixture on the ceiling fan installed. After searching on the web a bit more I decided to say fuck it. I knew that a wire is a wire so I just cut the end off the end of each wire with a box cutter. I guess it doesn’t matter that I can’t remove the plastic cap when I can just cut around it.

I wish I could say it was easy after that, but it wasn’t. Getting all the wires back inside the fixture far enough to actually get the fixtures screw holes to line up took enough tries to where I was about ready to rip the whole thing down and just sit in the dark for the next year.

In closing, I’d like to send out a hearty “fuck you” to the following parties: Westinghouse Lighting for designing a fucking terrible product with even lousier instructions; Alexan Back Beach, my apartment complex, for being too cheap to spend the extra $5 to have a light on the ceiling fan to begin with which would have saved me dealing with this mess.
